Job Description
We are expanding our team and seeking a qualified and experienced Project In-Charge Manager to oversee operations at our Ajaokuta Plant.
The role involves working closely with project teams to manage daily activities and ensure effective coordination between project managers and contractors.
The successful candidate will act as a liaison to streamline processes, ensure alignment with project goals, and collaborate with production teams and subject matter experts to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities also include project scheduling, execution, and preparation of technical specifications and data sheets for RFQs.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day project activities and ensure alignment between project managers, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Provide on-site supervision, resource planning, material storage coordination, and tracking of materials to project sites.
- Prepare project schedules, technical specifications, RFQs, and support project execution activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards by implementing workplace safety plans and procedures.
- Monitor project progress, prepare daily and monthly progress reports, and participate in project review meetings.
- Prepare AutoCAD drawings and provide technical clarification to contractors for proper execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, organizing, and controlling project activities.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and factory operations simultaneously.
- Proven ability to improve workforce productivity during project execution.
- Technical knowledge of civil, electro-mechanical, and architectural works.
- Strong manpower and scheduling management skills.
- Willingness to work extended hours during critical project milestones.
